RoryRDMB fired as server moderator

RoryRDMB has been fired as moderator.

He was dismissed from the position by a public vote that lasted a span of two days and closed on 2 August 2024. Of the voters, 23 voted to remove, and 19 voted to keep. Around 6 people abstained. As of writing, server administration (TaylorWorld and Kiddorox) are yet to respond.

Rory's dismissal comes at a point of controversy regarding his actions in the position. He has received criticism from a number of members for the bans of EPCNZ and Dumb_Catz, which were viewed by critics as unfair.

Rory was appointed on 19 October 2023 after winning the moderator election in a landslide victory. He has since become the longest-serving moderator, being present in the position for 288 days; the previous record holder, Sasha, lasted 267 days before he too was forced out of the position, though he resigned before any proper action could be taken. Since his appointing, Rory oversaw the first building competitions on the server, and together with TaylorWorld drafted the first proper rules on war for the server.

A vote to appoint Rory's successor will subsequently take place. The person elected will likely have to deal with the aftermath of both the Supremacy War, as well as the disputes over the bans and policies Rory put in place.
