Former president and both current vice president and leader of the JSP, JVTA, has suggested that the matter of the Thailand mountain be sorted at a negotiation table.
The claim comes amidst slight tensions between Potato Empire and Jonasland. Potato claims that a deal to give what is now East Thailand to Jonasland included the handing-over of the border mountain, a mountain lost in the Potato Plains Dispute, back to Thailand. Jonasland's current government says there was no agreement over the mountain, and has refused to hand it over.
"We should use words, not swords," said the vice president. "If we end up going to war with Thailand over this, it could jeopardise our image on the world stage, and in the future drag us into further conflict. Furthermore, we'd tarnish our relations with the Potato Empire."
Jonasland and Potato Empire are both currently member states of the United Realmplex Alliance, a NATO-esque organisation led by the Potato Empire. If Jonasland ended up in a conflict over the mountain, Jonasland could risk removal from the U.R.A.
The mountain is expected to become a contentious topic as the Jonasland election, scheduled for April 12th, draws closer. JVTA seeks to take back his position, while Clamlum seeks out a historic second term. Revden and TheAllSeeingBird could possibly be kingmakers in this election.
