The full results of the July 2024 elections

After four days of voting, the general elections of July 2024 have concluded. The results have been released by the Jonasland Election Board, and we are now ready to present them.

Turnout was 75% (6 votes), up from last election. TaylorWorld, the incumbent president, did not run for what would have been a historic fourth term in the position, however he is part of the JRM list for the parliamentary vote.

ELECTORAL VOTE

The Reformist Movement (JRM) has won the electorate vote with 4 votes to the SDP's 2 votes.

When translated to seats, the results are as follows:

• Jonasland Reformist Movement (JRM) - 14 seats [MAJORITY]

• Social Democratic Party (SDP) - 6 seats

PRESIDENTIAL VOTE

JRM's candidate for the presidency, RoryRDMB, has won the presidential vote with 4 votes, compared to 2 votes for the SDP's candidate, JVTA. RoryRDMB will therefore be inaugurated as Jonasland's fifth president at midday NZST tomorrow.

IN SUMMARY

The JRM are the victors of the July 2024 general elections, and due to having a majority, will be the official government of Jonasland. The SDP has come second and will be the official opposition.

RoryRDMB is to be the next president of Jonasland. He will succeed TaylorWorld, also a member of the JRM, in the position. The vice president and the ministers will be selected by the president. JVTA will continue to be the leader of the opposition.

This is the first election since June 2023 in which a person not previously elected to the presidency was elected. This is also the JRM's fourth election win.
