The following interview was conducted by McTwoPoint0. PMI does not endorse any of the opinions expressed in this interview.

Today we sat down with the master of maize, the governor of grains, the leader of the Wheat Empire, Pebble. Here’s what we got up to in our discussion.

All information is accurate as of the time the transcript was submitted to PMI (13 Jun 2025, 18:34 UTC+12).

Okie dokie, question 1, when you returned to the server after your long absence, what were your thoughts on the state of the server?

PEBBLE: I was impressed and disappointed at the same time. I was happy to be back and to see that not much had changed, and simultaneously I was disappointed that not much had changed. I came back, shook things up, then took a step back to let others shake things up some more

I see. Question 2, what are your thoughts on the state of the server currently?

PEBBLE: I'm glad that there's been peace. It's been very helpful while I try to figure out what direction I want to take myself and my countryIm disillusioned, but I find myself with plenty of opportunities to fix that. I'm just trying to figure out which opportunities to utilize.

I understand. Question 3, recently your country, the Wheat Island Nation, changed its name to the Wheat Empire following the claiming of the distant continent of Vlastograd. Has this brought about any major changes to the land of wheat?

PEBBLE: Not yet. I found myself coming to a realization after having become the ruler of an empire. The power is essentially meaningless with such a small playerbase. I have more room than I'll probably ever need and no desire to fill my land with masturbatory monuments to my own mediocrity.

I see. Question 4, what would you say are your opinions on the other major powers of Realmplex, mainly the nation that shares ownership of the Wheat Islands, the UCCR?

PEBBLE: A strong dislike. I think that Rory's claim over my land has dubious legitimacy at best. He insists on keeping my land for his "plans," but he barely ever focuses on his own mainland, let alone the many colonies he has. To put it shortly, he's either deeply sentimental or impressively incompetent. Additionally I have even less respect for SpecShark, whose useless tower stands on one of the smaller islands in wheat, serving no purpose other than ruining my skyline.

Interesting. Question 5, what is your opinion on war, and do you think it should be avoided or encouraged on the server?

PEBBLE: Without any sort of incentive to play it's a necessary evil. I'm not particularly in support of it without a good reason, for example, fighting off colonizers.

I understand. Question 6, if war were to break out across the server, what countries would you ally with, if at all?

PEBBLE: I'd have to play it by ear on that one. I don't believe in partisan bullshit, I believe in right, wrong, and whatever's in between. if people I have previously allied with in the past act in a way which is wrong, I will not support them.

Interesting opinion. Question 7, recently, wheat became the first nation to send a man to the moon. Do you have any other large-scale projects planned for your country?

PEBBLE: I have a few buildings I'd like to complete. Once Basil gets unbanned the citadel is priority, and the departments of silly and defense have headquarters that need finishing. Other than that, though, I'm open to ideas. The prospect of going back to the moon interests me but I feel like it would get old fast. I'm somewhat amused at the concept of having a parliament, or making my government increasingly bureaucratic given its small size. I've yet to see anybody really embrace the absurdity of minecraft geopolitics, and i'd like to capitalize on that. Wheat is as much an artistic statement as it is a country.

I see. Question 8, what are your plans for wheat as a whole for the future?

PEBBLE: Well, my end goal is to become a major power. I'm not exactly small potatoes but I'm certainly not at the same level as carrot or potato, and I'd like to rival them. I think it's only fair that the last rival crop nation be a rival in size and power as well.

Final question, as an American, what do you think of the Trump/Elon breakup?

PEBBLE: I only hope that the democrats don't immediately forget that he hit the salute ON STAGE this year and welcome him because he hates trump. Otherwise, peak toxic yaoi.
