OPINION: The worst blunder I've ever witnessed

Unity on the server is something that doesn't occur way too often. Sometimes you'll have a force uniting despite differences against a common enemy (the Supremacy War). Sometimes you'll get the people joining together to celebrate (the Fifth Anniversary). And sometimes, in the case of factions, you'll get organisations like the United Realmplex Alliance, a symbol of unity and democracy on the server. The quality of its actions may be... debatable... but it stood nonetheless, despite everything thrown at it.
About a week ago, however, the members of that alliance decided, after Carrot hopped off the bus, that server unity would be sentenced to death by firing squad.
The United Realmplex Alliance's dissolution is just about one of the worst blunders I've ever witnessed on Realmplex - almost akin to geopolitical suicide. Not even the decision by The Supremacy to pick fights with anything and everything that had a form of functioning government was this stupid. Now, it's not like the member states of the URA were any stranger to making bad decisions (the choice at the start of the Third Great War to shoot oneself in the foot by declaring war on three nations unrelated to the force they were facing is one example), but even that paled in comparison to this.
The heads of state have abandoned server unity, abandoned their allies, abandoned the fight against tyranny, and abandoned the world stage. Their excuses: "the organisation is detrimental to national security", "our industrial capability is insufficient to support the entire organisation", and "the USA have practically been banned, so what's the point".
Bullshit, I say. The only threat to national security in the URA was the decision by SSI to risk everything by hoping that the "war" with Wheat wouldn't backfire (it barely even scratched the SSI). The URA's industrial capability was not insufficient at all; if anything, Potato had enough resources - it just suffers from laziness. And sure, the USA may be gone (spare for a holdout in the form of Imustbemad), but that doesn't prevent another group from springing up. And if one does, well, the server will just group together and form another alliance (at which point the decision to dissolve the URA will be made redundant).
But alas, despite all this, the heads of state in the URA voted to dissolve anyway, shooting their one remaining foot (the other foot was blown off with a bazooka during the Third Great Realmplex War). The only real victory you've achieved here is that Jonasland no longer has any constraints to calling the now-dissolved Kingdom of Maraterria a country (as it was).
I look forward to your next blunder, and will be observing the chaos that follows from the top of the National Finance Center in Jonasland, sipping a cold Nuka-Cola and hollering "I told you so" every now and then.
