An election occurred in Jonasland today. It was set to end tomorrow, however it ended a day early due to everyone voting before the deadline.
The ruling Insipred Socially Inclined Syndicate, led by Clamlum, swept the floor with a 50% majority, winning despite a coalition deal by the other parties. JVTA, the current vice president, will lose their position as vice president. Their successor has not yet been chosen.
The Democratic Party, led by TheAllSeeingBird, and The Left, led by Revden, tied with 20% of the vote. Meanwhile, the Socialist Party, the former ruling party, collapsed to just 10% of the vote, it's lowest vote share yet.
The Syndicate now has 10 seats in parliament, enough to govern alone. The JDP and The Left both have four and the JSP have two.
The new government will be inaugurated on April 13th, at 12:00pm NZT.
