Results of the Aug 2025 moderator election

After a week of voting, the August 2025 moderator election has concluded.

There were 49 votes in total. Of these, one had to be eliminated as it was invalid (the voter had put every candidate in third). Two votes did not fill out all the preferences, but were still counted; this will explain why the total in the final count is different from that in the initial count.

Below are the official results.

Imustbemad is the winner of the vote. He has subsequently been appointed as moderator. Imustbemad maintained his lead throughout the count, starting with 37.5% of the vote, and ending with 58.7%.

McTwoPoint0 was second. JVTA was third. Pebble was fourth. Emilyrat was fifth. Kion came last.

Kion was the only candidate not to receive any first-preference votes.

Above are the number of preference votes each candidate got. Pebble received the most second preference and third preference votes. McTwoPoint0 and Kion had an equal number of fourth preference votes. Emilyrat received the most fifth preference votes. JVTA received the most sixth preference votes.

This concludes PMI's coverage of the August 2025 moderator election. Assuming Imustbemad serves a full six-month term, the next moderator election will be in February next year.
