Today, March 16th, 2023, will be a day for Realmplex's history books. What happened today, why was it so chaotic, and why is PMI using a black ribbon?
Here is a summary of what occurred today:
The first obvious piece of news is that Sasha has resigned from his position as moderator and has quit the server. He says he "planned to resign regardless whether [he] was voted
in from this current vote or not." The vote to remove him in particular ended in a 7-11 victory for the remove side.
Before he resigned, he made one last final act: dewhitelisting Trombone_13 and MikeCube, who departed with him. MikeCube made one last move, though: killing JVTA while they were working on a project, resetting their days-without-death counter to zero. The attack received widespread condemnation. JVTA has cut off Trombone_13 and MikeCube altogether in reaction to the incident, saying the following to PMI: "They can rot in hell."
Ravine Town and Name Pending, the properties of Sasha and MikeCube, will become neutral zones and must not be built upon or destroyed without TaylorWorld's direct permission.
In the aftermath of this, a new moderator will be elected. Two people, SandwichPress and JVTA, have put their names forward for the role, while SpecShark has declared his interest. It is expected that the vote will take place soon.
Thailand seems keen to regain their territory lost amidst the Potato Plains dispute (the argument over the wall).
And finally, Mouthnoseears had briefly joined the server, before getting banned for flyhacking. Mouthnoseears pleads innocent.
And that's basically what happened. We now enter a new era of Realmplex, which we at PMI are calling the "Tranquil Era". Let's hope peace can actually last, now that the dust has settled.
