The vote to choose a new moderator for the server has opened.
The vote was triggered following a series of events that led to JVTA's murder, among other events on March 16th.
The election will use the system of Single Transferrable Vote (STV). In this, voters rank the candidates from most preferred to least. When it comes to counting the votes, the person with the least votes is eliminated, and their votes are redistributed to the second choice of voters. This process continues until a candidates has 50% of the vote, or until there are two candidates remaining.
Four candidates are running for the position: JVTA, SandwichPress, SpecShark, and TheAllSeeingBird. JVTA and SandwichPress had previously announced their intention to run prior the posting of a candidate registration form. Jom, who had previously said he intended to run, did not feature on the final list of candidates.
There are a large number of outcomes for the server that this vote could lead to. If SandwichPress wins, it is likely that LEAN_L0VER will be unbanned. If JVTA wins, it is likely that MikeCube and Trombone_13 will remain permanently banned without appeal. SandwichPress has pointed out that she is the only one with experience in the field of moderation.
The vote will last until an unknown date.
