Govt proposes to parliament creation of tourism ministry

The government has confirmed that it has submitted an act that would create a tourism ministry in Jonasland.

The bill, titled "Tourism Act of February 2025", was submitted this afternoon by SDP leader and president of Jonasland, JVTA. The bill, if passed, would create a new ministry called the Ministry of Tourism, the first of its kind on the server. This ministry would be in charge of promoting Jonasland to the server, and would manage the concerns of visitors from other countries.

JVTA hopes this ministry will bring positive attention to Jonasland that will help grow the nation. Speaking to the Tribune today, the president said of the bill: "In order to make Jonasland a major nation on the level of Potato, Carrot, The Ataraxy, and the USA, Jonasland needs to be able to present itself to the wider world. It needs to be able to attract tourists and foreign investors. That is why, today, I proposed the Tourism Act."

Parliament is expected to vote on the act over the coming week.
